Even though sexism happens most of the times unconsciously, its consequences in the world are disastrous: - Brazilian women earn (on average) 24% less than men to do the same job. - A woman is raped every two hours in Brazil (approximately) - The suicide rate for men is 4 times higher than the ones for women, mostly because of the pressure that society puts on them. However, most people do not stop to think about such things. After all, realizing how we unfortunately contribute to sexism every day has literally Crossed the Line. This is where the project steps in. Our goal is to make boys and girls conscious of the bias that is constructed in society before something bad happens. To accomplish this, we promote some activites: - Lectures in companies - Debates with teenagers in high schools - Games with teenagers in high schools - Games for children in the middle school Crossed the Line was created in 2018 and since then has been playing a pivotal role in the CAS Program at Swiss School of Curitiba, as part of the IB.
