Wonderful monastery and a fantastic atmosphere. Just beware of the surroundings. A crowded place with a very high rate of mobile phones robberies. Just take a look around if you're going to take photos but don't be afraid of take them!

Plaza with one main attraction; the Monasteiro do Sao Bento. A quaint, medium sized church/basilica. Exterior is fairly understated, but the interior is really beautiful. Italian inspired, with a flat roof and frescos on every surface.
