One of the Metro Stations which might surprise you by leaving. The station is close to the former presidential Palace. Close too - you ll find the traditional building structure how Rio looked partly until the end of the 50ies. The Metro by itself is just with the flair of old times - nothing special and nothing unsafe inside. Outside its as well normally no problem. Last few years you had some robberies on the main street, as the Palace attracts tourism. But this cases are very rare.

Terrible / unsafe neighborhood. Lots of young kids under drug influence. This place should be marvelous because of corcovado tour. Unfortunately, it is destroyed!!!
