A beautiful church, a historical building, a piece of magnificent art and religious architecture. A place to visit. Public transportation available.

The church is painted... coming from Europe, it is not so often we can enjoy such a place. I had a real peaceful moment for my heart for my eyes :)

Oh My Goodness! Seeing is believing! Only when you are there you can understand what time-travel really means. It feels like stepping into the XVII Century, during the Glory Days of Roman Catholicism. The sounds and shapes lead you into an introspective state; then you can only think God, how Great He is, and how small and fickle we are.

I have no religion and I do not believe in anything. However, every single time I find myself near this place I I pay a visit. It beautiful inside, you get a break from the craziness outside and you get some protection from the elements. Lots of nice pieces to see, and this is one of the most iconic religious sites in São Paulo, so if you have got even a passing interest in beautiful churches, you would do great to come here.

One of the most beautiful churches I have ever seen. Very peaceful and delicious things (bread and biscuits) to buy from the shop, all made by the monks. The choir singing in Latin is superb.

Great place to visit in the middle of the downtown chaos! Masses are cool and if you can see one with the GEORGIAN CHANTS and organ playing, it's spectacular!

Downtown São Paulo near Station Metrô São Bento. Masses on Sundays with chants y the Benedictine monks.Sometimes it holds exhibits. They have the famous breakfast offered by the monks for a steep price. Jellies, cakes and sweets made by the monks sold as well.
