This is one of the best beaches that I have visited in Brazil during last five years. The nick name of this beach is Caribe brasileiro and the colour of the sand and water really look like the Caribbean. Personally I think it is even more beautiful thanks to the surrounding green hills. If you are visiting Rio de Janeiro, it is a must to include in your itinerary!

This is so far the best beach area I have seen in Rio de Janeiro, is quite popular and a bit dificult to get to because of the road, but is worth it. Acces it is also possible by boat trips.
