Very authentic north-eastern Brazilian dishes. I had the cupuaçu desert which was delicious. It's a tropical fruit only from the north of Brazil, and not easy to find in Rio de Janeiro. They also have lots of north eastern foods that you can take home with you, as well us some gifts and other trinkets.

A gem in the center of Copacabana. Every tourist is always looking for at least one authentic experience, although it’s typically difficult to tell what is and what isn’t. I can assure you that this place is 100% authentic, Northern Brazilian. The Açaí is not sweet at all, which may turn some customers away. It is served the all natural way, but you can add sugar if need be. Their fried fish balls are delicious and juicy; not dry like many other places in the area. They do not accept credit, but it won’t kill you - just save up a little! It also is not expensive, regardless of what some other reviews mention.

They don't speak English here, but the menu has some English and photos on it. We got the crab leg app (eaten with the table spicy sauce yum), acai bowl with tapioca, and the duck version of the tacaca, food took a bit longer to come out, but it was worth it. The juices were also really great, the fruits aren't usually available in the US (like the soursop and the cupaucu). Oh yeah, they take debit but not credit card. So bring that cash!

Small place, barely looks like a restaurant, it's a big surprise! Tasty, authentic food, traditional from the north. We loved the caruru and the Açai

Excellent variety of food from North region of Brazil Para. I strongly recommend Tacaca without "goma" (a kind of sticky okre paste) and casquinha de siri (crab). Ask for Jambu chilli to spice it up. Good beer Cerpa but tropical juices - cupuacu is a must!
