We visited Casa Lisboa during our recent trip to Brazil. Having eaten cod in many variations during our frequent travels to Portugal, the "Caçarola de Bacalhau" from Casa Lisboa was definitely the most delicious cod dish we ever tasted! The shrimp-filled squid my husband ordered was exceptional too. Authentic Portuguese food with a twist cooked to perfection, great ambiance with attention to detail and well-priced. Don't miss their excellent wine list!

One of the best restaurants in Salvador, Casa Lisboa is marked by excellence in service and the Portuguese cuisine that it serves and a comprehensive and well-priced wine list. Friendly, knowledgeable staff can explain the dishes on an English-language menu. Set in a very pleasant house on the hills behind Barra, it is always very busy at dinner time and reservations are advised. If not endowed with a Brazilian-sized appetite, look carefully at the dishes on other tables before ordering as they can be of prodigious size. Great seafood dishes and great desserts.
