My wife and I have been to Egeu several times over the past 4 years. We always order the "cauda de lagosta e risotto de limão siciliano". This time they didn't have it in the menu which was unfortunate at first but the waiter recommend other dishes that were also very good. We had the "lagosta grelhada" and "risotto de polvo".

Well, the restaurant is called Egeu. It features white and blue coloured logo and decoration. It resembles Santorini architecture style. But it isn't a Greek restaurant. So I was indeed frustrated when I got there first of all. Ok, let's check the menu. It isn't very Mediterranean either. It's rather international. I was there for dinner with my boyfriend and we both ordered risotto. His seafood risotto was really good. My lobster risotto was alright. Both presentations were state of the art. But... so far I know risottos, it is highly recommended that it is made with either arboreal rice or carnaroli rice. I was personally frustrated again: it was long rice. The waiter suggested that we had a Portuguese red wine along with our main course, which was an excellent choice - and they do have an excellent wine menu. So... dessert time. Not many considerable far-fetched options on that so we ordered a chocolate terrine for sharing. It comes with ice cream and mixed-berries jam. Very tasty and well presented again! We both spent 130 reais, which was reasonable. Note on the service: it was superb! The decoration was cool, not that pretentious as I thought. They chose an excellent playlist whilst we were there, that made us feel comfortable. Oh! And the view is stunning (even more on daylight). I was just frustrated for the menu - it could and it should be more elaborated for what they offer - but it was a very pleasant evening.

One of the best restaurants in Salvador. I went with my family and the food was awesome. Excellent customer service with a fabulous view of Bahia’s sunset. I certainly recommend this restaurant. I ordered the Grilled Lobster and the taste was brilliant.
