This is my favorite restaurant every time I go to Copacabana. It’s a “hole in the wall” but a total gem. Seafood is so fresh and greatly prepared.

I dont understand the rating of this place. It deserves max 1.5 stars, not 4.5 We ordered Paella with seafood and grilled salmon with vegetables for taka away. After one hour waiting we got our food and went to the beach. Well, we tasted everything and... Threw all of it away. Salmon was too salty and dried, and it was the Best of everything we got. Vegetables like from few days ago, seafood awefully made, like it was spoiled for a long time. And we paid for these two dishes like 150 Real 25 Euro. Shame on you, Shirley

The food was wonderful- fresh and full of flavor. The prawns were so tasty and juicy and the paella had great flavor. Service was average at best but it was partly because another table was very needy and kept the server busy. Restaurant was small and open to the street with all the fresh seafood on display.

With more than 65 years serving the finest in sea food, Shirley is a very unique place. It feels like a time machine took you to sometime around late 80's, early 90's, judging by its decoration, but for me, this is a very good feature, because nothing is too fancy or "gourmet", it's just good food without any fuzz like most of today's restaurants.

Perfect Paella for two here for a reasonable price.

Traditional Brasilian and Spanish seafood are a strong suit at this small restaurant in Leme, clos to Copacabana. The waiters, clad in white suits, are in syntonias with the place and his nostalgic 70's atmosphere. Reservation is not possible so in the peak hours you have to wait to find a table. Food portions are generous and bill more expansive compare to other restaurants in Rio de Janeiro

A bit underwhelmed after seeing all the great reviews. Paella is decent, a lot of content but flavour wise had much better in Spain. The desert was good. Quite expensive meals.
